Re-launch Strategy for London-wide LETS: 2012

The size of this task requires a specific strategy and discipline to achieve the desired result. Those we are seeking to include are: Members of the earlier London-wide scheme, members of former local groups which have ceased to trade and many new enquiries to join LETS in London. Estimated total as at March 2012 - 2,500 !

Over two-thirds (24 out of 33) London Boroughs do not have their own LETS. If we then assume that the enquiries cover mostly the areas where there is no functioning scheme, there are potentially 100 in each borough - enough to create a viable scheme. However, to meet the demand organisers of the new London-wide scheme have agreed on the following strategy:

1. Enrolling new members who have paid to join LETS in this central hub.
2. Creating accounts to connect with the existing independent borough-wide schemes.
3. A London-wide Conference to consolidate progress so far - date to be arranged in 2012.
4. Opening up borough-wide hubs with organisers recruited from existing membership.
